Unmatched durability. How To Know When Your Home/Roof Needs A Roof Restoration?

At Idaho Roofing Contractors, we provide the best roof restoration services in all of Eagle. How do you know when your home needs a roof restoration? Well, let’s explore a few of the main reasons a roof restoration service may be right for you.

First off, what is a roof restoration? A roof restoration is the process of inspecting, repairing, and refurbishing your home’s roof in order to restore or improve its appearance, increase its lifespan, and enhance its performance. This is a process that is typically a stop-gap measure that serves as a way to get more service life out of your roof without having to commit to a full replacement.

Roof restorations are a great option if you want to get the most out of your current roof without having to do a full replacement. For your average roof restoration, we will start with a thorough roof inspection to assess the current status of your roof. From there we will do things like cleaning your roof of any debris or clutter that may have accumulated. We will then patch and repair any damaged areas or leaks, and then typically finish off with a round of sealing and waterproofing to ensure that you get several more years of good performance out of your roof. Featured Projects

Vizcaya Subdivision

Vizcaya Subdivision: This project in Eagle brought unique challenges for our team. This +8,000 square foot home had leaking issues with the tile roof it had originally had. Also, the Boston Ridges were an additional factor for our team in dialing in the optimal amount of ventilation. A house must be able to take in cool air from the intakes and exhaust the hot air in the attic space through roof vents, ridge vents, or powered vents like solar fans.

We had two crews working on the Vizcaya Subdivision project and after taking off literal tons of tiles from the roof, we were able to “dry it in” by installing ice and water barrier on the eaves and valleys and also installing synthetic underlayment for the rest of the roof. You’ll see a great picture of this step in the project pictures. Right after we “dried in the roof” the big weather system and all that rain we had in early April 2024 came pouring down. Quick to respond, our teams worked late to prevent leaks and ensure we could continue and finish the project once there was a break in the weather.

This project included valley metal which eliminates liabilities in one of the most vulnerable portions of your roof, as well as ice and water barriers in the eaves and valleys. Our team is incredibly grateful for having been selected to work on this project. There is always chaos in construction, and yet we were able to come away with a finished product that both the homeowner and our team and extremely proud of. If you have any questions about this project or any other projects you have in mind, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
