We recently completed a comprehensive roof replacement in the Winstead Park neighborhood of Boise, ID. This project involved removing the existing roofing down to the decking, allowing for a thorough inspection and necessary repairs to ensure a solid foundation. We installed Owens Corning Oakridge shingles in Sierra Gray, known for their durability and aesthetic appeal, along with ProEdge hip and ridge shingles for a cohesive finish.
To enhance the roof’s performance, we applied Rhino synthetic underlayment, providing an additional layer of protection against moisture. Proper ventilation was ensured with the installation of a Lomanco 550 exhaust vent, promoting airflow and extending the roof’s lifespan. Critical areas such as eaves and valleys were reinforced with ice and water barrier protection, safeguarding against potential water infiltration.
Additional upgrades included new IPS metal pipe flashings, step and endwall flashing, and the application of Karnak sealant in the valleys to prevent leaks. All exposed nails were sealed with Vulkem sealant, further enhancing the roof’s resilience. Notably, this project featured the specialized installation of GAF TPO on the carport, offering superior weather resistance and durability.
Backed by the Owens Corning Standard Protection Warranty, this homeowner now enjoys a reliable and well-protected roof, reflecting our commitment to quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
