Lava Springs

In the Lava Springs neighborhood of Nampa, ID, a full roof replacement was completed to enhance both the function and appearance of the home. The existing roofing was removed down to the decking, allowing for a complete inspection of the roof structure before new materials were installed.

The new system features Owens Corning Oakridge shingles, complemented by ProEdge hip and ridge shingles for a seamless, durable finish. A full layer of Rhino U20 synthetic underlayment was applied using 1″ plastic cap nails, and Titanium PSU30 was used as a finished product in the valleys for extra protection.

Flashing components were updated with Famco 1ā€ ā€œdā€ style color metal, step and endwall flashing, and IPS colored pipe flashings. Roof ventilation was improved with the installation of a Lomanco 550 exhaust vent, and exposed nails were sealed with Vulkem.

Work was completed to meet all local and state building codes as well as manufacturer guidelines. Backed by the Owens Corning Standard Protection Warranty, this home is now better equipped to withstand the Idaho elements.
