Island Woods

In the Island Woods neighborhood of Eagle, ID, a precision repair was carried out to address key areas of the roofing system. Shingles were removed two courses up to allow for the installation of a new kick-out flashing at the eave’s end where it meets the sidewall. A new starter shingle and CertainTeed Presidential shingles—color matched to existing materials as closely as possible—were installed to complete the repair seamlessly.

In addition, shingles were removed around plastic J-vent penetrations. The underlayment was peeled back for deck inspection, and Titanium PSU30 ice & water barrier was applied. Plastic vents were replaced with durable metal gooseneck flashings, and Presidential shingles were again used to restore the area.

Visible nail heads were sealed with polyurethane, and all work was performed in accordance with original installation methods and local building codes to ensure long-lasting performance and reliability.
